Financial Aid Office Hosting a Series of Helpful Workshops

The Bakersfield College Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships is hosting a series of Financial Aid Application Assistance Workshops throughout May, in the Welcome Center on BC’s Panorama campus.

The purpose of these workshops is to provide BC students with assistance through the financial aid application process, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the California Dream Act Application (CADAA). The Financial Aid staff will be available to resolve any questions or concerns related to these applications and assist in the exploration of external scholarships.

David Moncayo, Financial Aid Compliance Officer at BC, had this to say about the upcoming workshops, “Our staff is ready to assist students through the financial aid application process to ensure they can focus on their academic goals and success rather than worrying about paying for their tuition, books, and course materials.” He also added that both future and current students are welcome to attend.

The Office of Financial Aid hosts several of these workshops throughout the year, so even if you are unable to attend in May, there will be more in Fall 2024. Here is a list of the upcoming workshops:
