Transfer Pathways and International Student Services Host Open House
The Office of Transfer Pathways and International Student Services welcomed students, faculty, and the campus community to its open house on Tuesday, February 20th. University representatives from CSU Bakersfield, CSU Channel Islands, and the University of LaVerne were also present. The new Transfer Pathways and International Student Services Center is located in the east wing of the 2nd floor of the Center for Student Success (CSS) building on BC’s main campus.
The new center provides over 1500 sq. ft. of dedicated space for Transfer and International student services for advising and counseling, college and university transfer exploration, and a modest 6-station computer area for students to complete college and university admission applications. In addition, the center provides college and university partners and representatives with a dedicated space to meet with students directly for appointments while working with them on an in-person basis to learn more about their transfer options.
Working in collaboration with the campus community to ensure and promote transfer success, the Transfer and International Center was created as a resource for students to connect and learn more about transfer and international resources to support their journey beyond Bakersfield College.
