Friendsgiving Returns to Porterville College
By Porterville College | 11/16/23
This week saw the return of our annual Friendsgiving Feast to campus. The event is a celebration of students and the holiday season, as well as a way to highlight the troubles that can be caused by food insecurity among our student population.
Friendsgiving is held each year as part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week. At the Friendsgiving Feast students are able to visit with friends, lounge in the quad and "feast" on holiday treats and food provided by the PC Basic Needs Center, Cal Fresh and the PC Pirate Pantry.
