BC Ranks 11th on Hispanic Outlook Magazine's Top 100 4-year Colleges List
In a recent recognition by Hispanic Outlook Magazine, Bakersfield College has secured the 11th spot on the list of the top 100 4-year colleges and universities for Hispanics. This acknowledgment underscores the institution's commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity in higher education. The rankings, published annually by Hispanic Outlook Magazine, highlight the educational institutions that excel in providing opportunities and support for Hispanic students. In addition to this prestigious overall ranking, Bakersfield College has also been recognized for its significant contribution to the education of Hispanic/Latino students at the associate degree level. According to the report, Bakersfield College is among the top institutions awarding the largest number of associate degrees to Hispanic/Latino students, alongside Miami Dade College and Dallas College.
Bakersfield also ranked in the top ten for specific disciplines, including Agriculture (up from #9 last year), Family and Consumer Education, and Liberal Arts/Humanities.
