Jaime Gili: Lecture and Monte Exhibition
Jaime Gili, a renowned artist known for his unique blend of art and architecture, shared his artistic journey with community members and students of Bakersfield College. For art enthusiasts, there's an exciting opportunity to experience. Gili's exclusive exhibition, "Monte," will be at the Wylie and May Louise Jones Gallery from September 7th to October 12th, 2023. The gallery is open Monday to Thursday, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.. The paintings reflect a long history of Latin American geometric abstraction that are meant to be experienced in a unique, contemporary display. The colors and textures of the work produce an experience meant to engage the viewer in contemplation of a green space, such as a garden or jungle. Personal interpretation, perspective, and history will all play a vital role in the perception of this unique installation.
