The Kern CCD Grants Office does not specifically provide grant management services,
however we do routinely work with grant project directors/managers to coordinate necessary
process and reporting requirements for their funded projects with the funding agency
and the Accounting Offices to ensure program and financial compliance with the awarding
agencies (Federal, State, & Other Agencies).
The Grants Business Management Manualdescribes KCCD policies and procedures relevant to most grant-funded projects, as
well as many relevant federal and state regulations, policies and procedures.
The CCCCO Contracts and Grants Manual contains the policies and procedures for the administration of contracts, grants,
vendor agreements, and other forms of agreements such as memoranda of understanding,
and for procurement for the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO).
The Federal Guidance for Grants and Agreements is utilized for managing federal grant awards. The Office of Management and Budget
(OMB) is revising its guidance in title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations (2 CFR) to add a new part 184 and revise 2 CFR 200.322. The revisions implement the requirement for the Director of OMB to issue guidance
to the head of each Federal agency to assist in the implementation of the requirements
of the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA), Public Law 117–58, 135 Stat. 429, 70901–70927,
Nov. 15, 2021.
There is a Banner Budget Guide available for Bakersfield College that outlines procedures
for utilizing the Banner tools available for BC colleagues.
