The mission of the Kern Community College District is to provide outstanding educational programs and services that are responsive to our diverse students and communities. Within this commitment, our District reviews our elected trustee areas of service to ensure equitable representation throughout. Redistricting is the process of adjusting district lines every 10 years after the release of the US Census. The Kern Community College District Board of Trustees have partnered with Redistricting Partners to provide consultative services for this process.

Update: September 29, 2021

Redistricting Partners provided an introductory overview and information presentation on the process to proactively evaluate and address, prior to the 2022 election cycle, the Kern Community College District trustee seats in compliance with the California Voting Rights Act.
